Quick summary
Base a car-free day around downtown, the waterfront and nearby cultural stops. Use transit for a specific destination, consider a local tour with pickup, or use beach equipment delivery instead of carrying a rental board.
1. Keep your first day close to the waterfront
If you are staying downtown, build an outing around the lakefront, a meal and one cultural stop. Your accommodation location matters: staying elsewhere may require transit or a taxi before the walk begins.
Waterfront Park and Tugboat Bay are useful destinations to map from your starting point. Check the actual walking route rather than assuming every hotel is beside the lake.
2. Book a local tour with hotel pickup
Our Kelowna Walking Tour includes free hotel or accommodation pickup and drop-off in Kelowna and West Kelowna for groups of up to 3 guests. The 4–5 hour experience combines local sightseeing, an easy hike, a scenic viewpoint and a local food stop.
3. Let us bring the paddle boards
Our VIP Beach Paddle Board Experience includes equipment delivery, inflation and collection at select eligible beaches. That removes the need to carry a board and pump on the bus.
It does not include transporting you. Confirm the beach, service time and your own journey before booking. Stay with the equipment until it has been collected.
4. Use transit for one planned outing
Look up the outward and return journeys before leaving. Check the stop location, service frequency and last suitable return, especially for an evening activity. A direct trip can work better than several transfers squeezed into a busy day.
5. Choose a lake activity that fits your day
A guided paddle board tour can fit a car-free visit if you can reach the meeting point. If you want a seated option, our inflatable paddle board with kayak paddle rental is another way to explore the lake, but remember that self-service rentals still require pickup, transport, setup and return.
Before you go
