Quick summary

Spend one day in Kelowna with a waterfront morning, one lake activity, lunch and a cultural stop. Stay near one area and keep an indoor alternative ready for changing weather.

Morning: breakfast and a waterfront walk

Start downtown if it is convenient for your accommodation. Get breakfast, then spend some time by the lake before the day fills up. A relaxed walk gives you a feel for the city without beginning with a long drive.

If you would rather have a local show you around, our Kelowna Walking Tour combines local sightseeing, an easy hike, a scenic viewpoint and a local food stop in a 4–5 hour small-group experience.

Late morning: choose one lake activity

Book a guided paddle board tour for sightseeing, or a beginner lesson if this is your first paddle. Confirm the meeting point and leave enough time to reach it from breakfast.

Prefer your own schedule? Our paddle board rentals require pickup, transport, setup and return. If you prefer to paddle sitting down, try our inflatable paddle board rental with a kayak paddle. For a short visit without a vehicle, ask about eligible beaches for the VIP beach service instead.

Lunch: leave room to change and eat

Do not schedule lunch for the minute your paddle ends. Allow for drying off, changing and travelling back. Choose somewhere close to your next stop rather than crossing town for every meal.

Afternoon: gardens or local history

Visit Kasugai Gardens if its hours fit, or check the Okanagan Heritage Museum for an indoor stop. Choose one. With only a day, a few well-spaced activities are usually more enjoyable than a long checklist.

Evening: dinner and a shore-based view

Finish with a meal and time by the waterfront. If you saved your lake booking for the evening, substitute our Sunset Paddle Experience for the morning water activity rather than adding another full booking.

If lake conditions are unsuitable

  • Move the cultural visit earlier.
  • Look for an indoor exhibition or performance.
  • Keep the waterfront walk only if conditions are comfortable.
  • Check the terms for any weather-affected booking.
