Quick Summary
Looking for free things you can get in Kelowna on your birthday? Start with a Sephora birthday gift, a Starbucks birthday reward and Denny’s birthday breakfast. They have different rules: Sephora’s in-store gift does not require a purchase, Starbucks requires advance signup and qualifying account activity, and Denny’s requires a beverage purchase.
Offers checked in October 2026. Confirm the current terms and local availability before heading out.
1. A Birthday Gift from Sephora
Beauty Insider members can collect one birthday gift during their birthday month, while supplies last. Kelowna has a Sephora at Orchard Park Shopping Centre, 2271 Harvey Avenue.
- What you get: A birthday gift from the available selection.
- What you need: A free Beauty Insider account with your birthday recorded.
- Purchase required? No purchase is necessary in store. Online redemption requires a purchase of at least $25.
Check Sephora’s current birthday gifts before visiting. Popular choices can run out, so keep an open mind about the selection.
2. A Starbucks Birthday Reward
Eligible Starbucks Rewards members can redeem a birthday reward at participating stores. The Canadian terms allow one qualifying handcrafted drink, food item or ready-to-drink bottled beverage.
- Sign up early: Join at least seven days before your birthday and add your birthday to your account.
- Account activity: Make at least one Star-earning transaction before your birthday each year.
- When to redeem: Green members have their birthday only. Gold members have seven days from their birthday, and Reserve members have 30 days.
Check that the reward appears in your app and that your chosen Kelowna store accepts it. See the Canadian Starbucks Rewards terms for exclusions and current rules.
3. Denny’s Birthday Breakfast, with a Beverage Purchase
Denny’s Canada lists Kelowna among the participating locations for its birthday Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast. The breakfast is complimentary, but you must buy at least one beverage. This is a conditional birthday offer, rather than a completely free meal.
- Visit on your actual birthday and dine in.
- Bring valid photo ID and tell staff before ordering.
- Budget for the required beverage, taxes, gratuity and any premium additions.
Read Denny’s birthday offer and confirm participation with the Kelowna diner.
Make a Day of It without Spending Much
Once you have collected your treats, enjoy a waterfront walk or a beach afternoon when conditions allow. Our free things to do in Kelowna guide has more ideas that do not depend on a birthday reward.
For a summer birthday, check our Free Paddle Boarding Day. It runs on selected seasonal dates and requires a reservation. It is not a birthday offer, so your celebration would need to line up with an available date.
Before You Leave Home
- Check your reward, expiry date and account eligibility.
- Bring your phone, membership details and photo ID.
- Confirm local stock or participation before making a special trip.
- Avoid buying something you do not want just to unlock a small freebie.
A birthday freebie should make your day easier. Pick the offers that fit your plans and leave the rest.
