What Happened to SeaGods?

Sea Gods continues online, but its Canadian operations have closed. Here is what the change means when ordering or seeking support from Canada.

Quick Summary

Sea Gods has closed its Canadian operations and now ships orders from a U.S. warehouse. The brand continues to sell paddle boards and other products online. For Canadian paddlers, the main things to check are the after duties (tax) delivered cost, current warranty coverage and how Canadian customer support is handled.

Checked October 2, 2026. This guide focuses on buying and owning a board from Canada.

The Change Canadian Shoppers Should Know About

Sea Gods published a notice about its move to U.S. shipping in May 2026. The company says Canadian operations closed and its orders are now dispatched from the United States.

That is more specific than saying the whole brand shut down. The business still has an online storefront, and its current About page presents Sea Gods as a broader coastal lifestyle brand with apparel and accessories alongside paddle boards.

Before Ordering a Sea Gods Board to Kelowna

A checkout total may not tell you the full delivered cost. Sea Gods warns Canadian customers that international deliveries may attract duties, taxes or carrier brokerage charges, with some fees collected on delivery.

  • Confirm whether the displayed price is in Canadian or U.S. dollars.
  • Ask where your order will ship from and whether the board is ready to dispatch.
  • Check which delivery charges are included and which may be collected later.
  • Ask where a return or warranty shipment would need to go.

These are questions to settle before paying, rather than surprises to work through when a parcel arrives.

If You Already Own a Sea Gods SUP

Start with your purchase documents. Keep the receipt, model name, purchase date and any warranty wording supplied when you bought it.

The current paddle board page advertises three-year warranty coverage. Its warranty page also uses wording about the board’s reasonable life, described as approximately three years or more with careful maintenance. Because wording and purchase dates matter, ask Sea Gods to confirm which terms apply to your particular board.

Use the current warranty page and official contact page to start that conversation. A changed website does not, by itself, tell you the outcome of an individual claim.

Does This Mean You Need a New Board?

A change in the company behind a board does not automatically mean the board needs replacing. Its condition, suitability and available support matter more than whether an old review still describes the business accurately.

If you need a fin or pump component, identify the fitting before buying a replacement. Similar-looking parts are not always interchangeable.

A Local Option if You Are Comparing Your Next Purchase

If you prefer to discuss sizing and pickup with a Kelowna business, browse our LowTide inflatable paddle boards. SUPCove sells LowTide, so this is our local alternative rather than an independent ranking of Sea Gods.
