FunWater and LowTide serve different kinds of buyers. FunWater is attractive to shoppers who want a lower initial price, while LowTide's value proposition includes extra-wide boards, a flexible paddle setup and stated support for daily rental use. The right option depends on whether lowest upfront cost or long-term fit matters most.

FunWater's lower-cost option
The Canadian FunWater Ocean 10'6" listing has recently shown a price of $299.99 CAD, with a stated 330 lb capacity, 12-15 PSI range, double-layer PVC and three removable fins. The listed package includes an adjustable single-blade paddle, high-pressure hand pump, leash, backpack and waterproof phone pouch. That's a compelling entry-level package, and LowTide should not be described as the cheapest option.
What changes with LowTide?
SUPCove's current LowTide options include an 11' × 35" Purple rated to 450 lb and a 12' × 36" Aqua rated to 500 lb. The Aqua is currently listed at $299 CAD for the board-only variant and $349 CAD for the full kit. See the Purple and Aqua listings for live prices, pickup/shipping options and package contents.
LowTide's newer feature brief calls out dual cargo zones, X-woven drop-stitch, heat-welded seams, three removable fins, a large backpack with reinforced shoulder straps and strong zippers, and a paddle that can switch between SUP and kayak setups using interchangeable ends. The paddles are designed to float; the board rating is up to 16 PSI. Confirm that the model and package you select includes each feature.
Warranty and commercial use matter
FunWater Canada's published warranty policy currently specifies a 60-day manufacturer limited warranty for inflatable paddle boards and lists commercial, rental and teaching use among the exclusions. Some FunWater product listings advertise different warranty language, so customers should confirm the exact model's coverage in writing before buying. LowTide states a three-year warranty and explicitly says its boards can be used in rental fleets, including daily use. For a business, that difference in intended use can be more important than a small price gap.
Which is the better value?
If your main goal is to spend just a few dollars less on a beginner board, FunWater deserves a chance. If you want a wider board, a convertible paddle, local warranty support in Vancouver and Kelowna, same-day Kelowna delivery and next-day delivery to many BC destinations, LowTide may justify the higher listed price. SUPCove's LowTide brand is family-owned and backed by hands-on SUP design, retail and rental-industry experience.
