This isn’t a lesson or a traditional guided tour. It’s simply a Kelowna local paddling alongside you, sharing some local insight, offering helpful tips when needed, and enjoying some time on the water with you.

Or, let your Paddle Buddy choose the location and experience one of the quieter local paddle spots that many visitors never think to explore.

We know several less-crowded beaches and launch areas that are often better suited for paddle boarding than the busiest tourist beaches. These spots can offer calmer surroundings, easier water access and, in many cases, free parking instead of busy or paid parking lots.

Think of it as paddling with a local friend who knows where to go.

Who Is Paddle Buddy For?

Paddle Buddy is recommended for anyone who has paddle boarded before and is comfortable with the basics, but would like some extra advice, more confidence, local knowledge, or simply some company on the water.

There’s no strict itinerary. Depending on what you feel like doing, you can paddle, relax, explore the shoreline, stop for a swim, or simply enjoy being out on the lake.

Never Paddle Boarded Before?

If this is your very first time paddle boarding, we recommend starting with our Intro to Paddle Boarding Beginner Lesson.

This slower-paced lesson covers the basics you should know before heading onto the water, including equipment, safety, balance, paddling and board control.

You can also book a Paddle Buddy session after your beginner lesson. It’s a great way to spend more time on the water, practise what you just learned and build confidence with someone paddling alongside you.
